Dear people who write these things,
Will there be snacks?

Dear Tiffy,
There will indeed be snacks.
All promises of snacks aside, there are a few points I'd like to touch on here in order to make our intent as a room clear.
A forest? Why a forest?
The purpose of this room is to offer an outlet for freeform creativity. The focus isn't the backdrop of the room as long as it's large and generic...a place where people feel free to touch the world in their own unique ways. The other purpose of using a forest is familiarity. Many people remember the Forest as a meeting place of many styles and genres. It is an old friend that many have sorely missed. Since it is this atmosphere we're trying to foster, it seemed that giving our room a familiar face would give us the best chance at this.
But there's already a forest in Chatalot.
Indeed there is! Just like there are multiple forests in the world, so can there be here. One doesn't forgo seeing Yosemite National Park simply because they've been to the Everglades. The two places are in no way connected, nor are the purposes of the rooms the same.
Do I need approval to play?
Absolutely not. As a non-story-centric room, there is no limitation on character creation. You are free to be whomever you choose, whenever you choose. The only limitation we impose is on guns and technology. Please see the rules of the room regarding those.
Can I (insert request here)?
That's kind of a loaded question. When dealing with other characters, permission must be garnered from the players involved. When dealing with the forest itself, the answer is almost always yes with few exceptions. a.) No towns will be built within the forest anytime in the foreseeable future. If a township is created, the admins will be the sole orchestrators of that event. b.) If what you're trying to do interrupts roleplays other than your own, chances are we won't allow it. A great example is wide spread damage of the Forest. The main job of the admins here is not to grant permissions, but to facilitate a fun and creative environment.
